Renée Daigle Cyr knew for years that she had an affinity for the arts. It is in her early twenties that she took the paintbrush in hand and begun her artistic adventure.
Her medium is oil, however, she has also studied drawing with charcoal. During these studies she learned techniques that permitted her to translate perspective to her oil paintings.
Renée is inspired by the landscapes surrounding her when she paints, but she does not limit herself to that only, since she also likes to explore other subjects that pique her interest. She communicates through her paintings the beauty she perceives from the world by using vivid colors and contrasts. Originally from Richibucto, her favorite inspirations originate from the East coast of New Brunswick. She has always fantasized about inventing an oil paint that smells like the sea… in order to make belief she is painting on a beach!
